Building Permit
Permits are required for the following residential projects
- New One & Two Family
- Garages
- Fences
- Additions
- Finished Basements
- Heating & A/C
- Some Remodeling
- Storage Sheds
- Foundation Repairs
Some projects that are not listed above may require permits. If your project is not on the above list and you are not certain if your project requires a permit, please contact the Building Inspector, Paul Hermes at (920) 858-0102 or the Village Clerk’s Office at (920) 984-3295.
Once you have decided on your construction project and have your plans drawn up, you are ready to apply for your building permit. You will need to fill out a building permit application. Along with your application a set of plans must be submitted to the Village Clerks Office at 301 N. Maple Street, Black Creek.
The amount of time required to review and approve your permit application will vary based on the type of project and the number of applications ahead of yours. Applications are reviewed on a first come, first serve basis. The larger the project, the longer the approval time. Most applications are approved in about a week, many are approved within a couple of days.
