WIS 47 project public meeting and project design website in Outagamie County
Public comments open for proposed improvements between Black Creek and County Line
(Black Creek) The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region announces a design project website is now available to view proposed improvements on 8.1 miles of WIS 47 from Burdick Street in the village of Black Creek to the north Outagamie County line in the town of Cicero, Outagamie County, Wis. The website is available at https://wisconsindot.gov/Pages/projects/by-region/ne/47blcreek/default.aspx.
Included on the website is information to join the WIS 47 Project live virtual public involvement meeting scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 25 to discuss the WIS 47 project with project engineers and provide comment. The meeting will be held via the Microsoft Teams virtual platform.

- Participants can access the live meeting via computer browser or mobile device by clinking on the “Go to Meeting” link on the WIS 47 Project webpage.
- There is also an option to join the virtual meeting via audio-only with a conference call phone number on the website.
This is a resurfacing-level improvement that includes a mill and overlay of pavement, culvert and guardrail replacements, storm sewer repair and curb ramp work. Construction is expected in 2024. Traffic impacts included flagging operations and short-term detours.
The website includes maps of the project limits and location, proposed scope and schedule, traffic impacts, displays and exhibits, temporary business signing information for businesses in the work zone, a downloadable project information handout, and various methods for the public to provide comment.
